Chinmaya IAS Academy

The UPSC conducted Civil Services Examination is one of the toughest in India. Preparing for it is a cumbersome task that requires disciplined study schedule and a rigorous timeline. As a result, it causes a lot of stress and anxiety in aspirants. A straightforward trick to de-stress and reduce the pressure is to involve yourself in physical activity.
When you spend hours on end sitting on a chair studying, it makes both the body and the mind sluggish. By exercising or doing any physical activity even for an hour, you revitalise the brain and activates the body. As a consequence, when you return to your IAS preparation, you learn faster and better.
The trick is not to overdo a physical activity or else you will be short on study time, and your body will be too tired to study. Instead of laser focus on the topic in front of you, you’ll be too weak to pay attention. Some of the light activities you can do are:
Yoga
Light exercise
Brisk, power walking
Jogging in the morning
All of them will keep you energetic throughout the day, lessen stress and improve your mood
